The oxygen index of high-temperature needle punched felt fibers can reach 29% and is not self igniting. When the temperature is above 400 ℃, the fibers are slowly carbonized. In addition, METAS fibers also have good dimensional stability. Compared with glass fiber, its wear resistance and bending resistance are unparalleled by glass fiber. Therefore, it has high temperature resistance and long service life, making it the preferred filter material for bag filters in high-temperature filtration situations.
Under normal flue gas temperature conditions, bag type dust collectors require temperature resistance of the dust removal filter bag to be below 150 ℃. However, in situations with high flue gas temperatures, such as smelting plants, carbon black plants, blast furnace gas from ironmaking plants, tail gas from calcium carbide kilns, casting and steelmaking plant flue gas, cement plant shaft kiln exhaust gas, asphalt concrete mixing asphalt flue gas, coal-fired boilers, etc., they are not competent for dust removal and purification in high-temperature environments.
One reason is that these dust containing flue gas and dust are not suitable for collection by electric dust collectors due to specific resistance limitations, and can only be collected using cloth bags or other methods;
Secondly, if it is necessary to reduce the temperature of dusty flue gas to below 150 ℃, the investment may be high or limited by the site conditions;
Thirdly, due to the presence of sulfur in the dust containing flue gas, it has an acid "dew point" and can only be filtered and separated above the acid dew point, i.e. at higher temperatures. This requires a chemical fiber that can withstand higher temperatures to be used to make filter materials.
